MECHANICAL ENGINEER - STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS - CO-OP
STI Technologies, Inc. (A member of SimuTech Group) has periodic openings for a co-op engineering student with experience using finite element analysis techniques. This position supports experienced FEA Analysts who are using the ANSYS FEA code to solve commercial structural analysis contracts. Depending on skill level, this position may perform a portion of, or the entire FEA analysis including data input, model generation, analysis of results, final report, and customer interface. This co-op will provide the student with a strong knowledge of accepted ANSYS practices.
Interested candidates should possess an appropriate academic background including completion of an FEA course using ANSYS software (such as RIT course #0304-618 "Computer aided Engineering" and/or "Finite Element Implementation" not just "Advance Computational Techniques"). General capabilities should include stress/strain analysis of mechanical or structural systems. Experimental mechanical structural vibration analysis experience is helpful. The ideal candidate should be enrolled in a third or fourth year Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Aerospace Engineering program. B.S./M.S. candidates are preferred; all candidates will be considered.
SimuTech Group is a mechanical engineering consulting company headquartered in Rochester, New York, that distributes ANSYS FEA and CFD software, and uses FEA/CFD software on a variety of industrial consulting projects.
